An exploration of the principles underlying the current practice of machine learning (ML) by focusing on fundamental ML algorithms applied to many domains. This course is designed to help students learn to think critically about data and models, understand the conceptual underpinnings of the basic ML algorithms and techniques, how they work, how to choose an algorithm for each kind of learning task, and how to visualize, evaluate, and interpret performance measures and results correctly.

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship:

Dr. Hadas Dahary earned her Ph.D. in School/Applied Child Psychology at 缅北强奸 under the supervision of Dr. Eve-Marie Quintin. Her doctoral research was supported by the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Doctoral Scholarship and competitive national autism research training initiatives, including the Quebec Autism Research Training (ART) Program, offered by the Azrieli Centre for Autism Research (ACAR) and the Transforming Autism Care Consortium (TACC) in Montreal.

Dr.听Victoria Talwar, Canada Research Chair in ECP and the Faculty of Education's Interim Dean, was interviewed on CTV News on the screen times of both adults and children, and the effects it can have on kids.

The research on children's screen time has shown that less is more, however when it comes to a child鈥檚 development, parents should spend less time worrying about their kids鈥 screen time and focus more on reducing their own.
