Dr. Kristy A. Robinson, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, has received the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) President鈥檚 New Researcher Award.

She will accept the award at this year's CPA convention in Ottawa (June 21-23), where she will also deliver an invited talk on her work.

This award recognizes the exceptional quality of her contributions to psychological knowledge in Canada as an early career researcher.

Friday, March 8 is International Women鈥檚 Day, marking the achievements of women and serving as a call to action for accelerating women鈥檚 equality.

This year鈥檚 theme is Inspire Inclusion 鈥 a message exemplified by 缅北强奸鈥檚 female leaders. At the moment, 10 of 缅北强奸鈥檚 14 deans are women; three are the first to ever to lead their Faculty.

Their thoughts on the women who inspire them, the progress that鈥檚 been made, and the barriers that have yet to be broken.
