The Gibbs Lab at 缅北强奸 is looking for adults aged 50 and above, diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes to participate in a research study.

Participation involves one audio-recorded interview conducted via Microsoft Teams or by phone.

The study aims to identify preferences, information needs, and perceived barriers related to exercise for the management of bone health in older adults with diabetes. Adults over 50 with diabetes are often unaware of their increased risk of bone fractures, which can lead to disability, hospitalization, and significant healthcare costs.

Dr. Shane Sweet, Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education was just renewed as a听Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Participation, Well-Being, and Physical Disability. Shane's research听involves studying well-being and participation in daily and social activities among people living with physical disabilities. This kind of practical application research will impact society in terms of optimizing interventions and programs aimed at enhancing the lives of people living with physical disabilities.
