Farm Management & Technology diploma

The Farm Management and Technology (FMT) program is a 3-year academic and practical college听program offered on the Macdonald Campus of 缅北强奸. Part of the CEGEP system in Quebec, it it the only collegial diploma program offered by 缅北强奸.

Building on the solid standards of excellence in education, hands-on experience, and analytical thinking for which we are known, the Farm Management and Technology program reflects the needs of today's farm business operators.听

Macdonald Campus is home to the听Macdonald Campus farm, which includes a dairy barn, a large animal research unit, a horticulture research center with vegetable fields, an orchard and a small vineyard, and an experimental farm with fields of cereals, oilseeds and forages. FMT students have access to all these facilities during their classes and labs, as well as to a brand-new high-tech greenhouse and science and computer labs.

Your courses

The Farm Management and Technology program will help you develop the professional competencies needed to operate and manage a modern agricultural enterprise. Over three years, students study a sequence of courses in soil, plant and animal science, engineering and management. You will also sharpen your entrepreneurial skills and ability to adapt to a changing world.

    Internships & research

    The FMT program includes four internships (stages): two one week internships during the first year, and two summer internships of a minimum of 10 weeks each, enabling our students to relate their academic work to the reality of farming and the agri-food sector.

    Frequent visits to a vast variety of farms expose students to different technologies and management styles, while industry experts regularly visit the classes to present current trends, technologies and regulations. Students also have the opportunity to attend industry events.
