Participate in this study to investigate the acute independent effects of dietary protein supplementation on bone metabolism in healthy adults aged 18-35 years participating in high-volume endurance running.
Duration:
One baseline visit followed by two trials of 2 days each (approximately 15 hours total).
Criteria:
1) Must be between the age of 18 - 35 years old
2) Running at least 40 km/week the past 6 months

How 缅北强奸鈥檚 Leaders #InspireInclusion
Friday, March 8 is International Women鈥檚 Day, marking the achievements of women and serving as a call to action for accelerating women鈥檚 equality.
This year鈥檚 theme is Inspire Inclusion 鈥� a message exemplified by 缅北强奸鈥檚 female leaders. At the moment, 10 of 缅北强奸鈥檚 14 deans are women; three are the first to ever to lead their Faculty.
Their thoughts on the women who inspire them, the progress that鈥檚 been made, and the barriers that have yet to be broken.

On Friday, February 23, Caitlin Mazurek successfully defended her multidisciplinary PhD thesis titled "Knowledge creation and translation in sports biomechanics: applications in ice hockey."
Her research includes work on hockey skating coordination, academic and industry research partnerships in sports science, and implementing biomechanical analyses with a remote First Nation hockey team.
She is now working with the Tampa Bay Rays as a performance science intern.

Matthew Slopecki, Ph.D. candidate in the Biomechanics of Occupation and Sports Lab, recently presented his research on an innovative wearable technology approach to quantify performance and fatigue related changes in the movement patterns of Paralympic Swimmers.
He presented at both the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports "Mid-Year Symposium" and Institut National du Sports du Qu茅bec's conference series "The Ingenuity Behind the Performance".

Luke Spagnuolo has received The Gord Sleivert Young Investigator Award at the 2023 Sport Innovation Conference.
Luke received this award for his thesis project examining muscle fatigue in USports rowers which he presented at the conference in Halifax.

Silar Gardy, PhD candidate in the the DKPE's Musculoskeletal Health & Physical Activity (MPAct) Laboratory (Supervisor: Dr. Jenna Gibbs), has received a research fellowship from the RSBO Network (R茅seau de recherche en Sant茅 Buccodentaire et Osseuse).
Silar's research aims to understand the role of nutrition and exercise in preventing bone fragility in endurance-trained individuals and athletes.

In October 2023, a team of Indigenous hockey players, advocates, researchers, and change makers gathered here at 缅北强奸 in Tiohnti脿:ke/Montr茅al for a three-day Summit on Indigenous hockey. The Summit was organized by the Indigenous Hockey Research Network (IHRN) , and hosted by Mike Auksi and Davina McLeod: two Indigenous hockey players and emergent researchers committed to the promotion of a more just game.

On December 19, 2023, 缅北强奸 announced it is launching a $3,000听Canada Award听to offset tuition increases for Canadian undergraduate students from outside Quebec in certain disciplines. Approximately 80% of new Canadian students from outside Quebec coming to 缅北强奸 will be eligible for the new award.

Professor Julie C么t茅, KPE and SASSI, was recently announced as a winner of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's School of Education 2023-24 Distinguished Alumni Awards. The award recognizes alumni across the 10 Departments of the School, which ranks among the top 3 Education schools in the United States, who have made outstanding contributions to their field.
The awards were given during a ceremony held in Madison on November 16th, during which Dr. C么t茅 delivered a public presentation broadcasted live. Congratulations, Dr. C么t茅!

KPE鈥檚 Rachel Shapiro, 2nd year MSc Candidate (supervisor: Dr. Jenna Gibbs), won the first place blitz presentation at the 8th edition Metabolic Disorders and Complications (MeDiC) Research Day hosted by the Research Institute of the 缅北强奸 Health Centre (RI-MUHC).
Rachel won for her presentation titled: Identifying Perceived Barriers, Preferences, And Information Needs Related To Exercise For The Management Of Bone Health In Older Adults With Diabetes

BOS Lab鈥檚 very own Tailynn Chang has been named to the Principal's Student-Athlete Honour Role for 2022-2023. This Recognition is bestowed upon varsity athletes who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Tailynn is a member of 缅北强奸鈥檚 varsity Women鈥檚 Rugby team and is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours). She is researching the effect of sex, fatigue, and inter-session learning among athletes in jump landing tasks. Congratulations Tailynn!
