缅北强奸 Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology Initiatives (Dr. Eduardo Franco)
The Rossy Cancer Network (RCN) works in close collaboration with the 缅北强奸 Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology to champion and invest in excellence in quality-of-care research, teaching and training through grants, fellowships, and special projects.
The Cancer Care Quality and Innovation Program (CQI) includes two funding streams: the CQI Research Fund and the CQI Education Fund. The CQI Research Fund allows healthcare professionals at the point of care to define and validate innovations in cancer care quality through collaborative research and care projects across the RCN. Since 2014, the CQI Research Fund has provided 32 projects with >$2.7M. The CQI Education Fund provides strategic funding to health care professionals through Skills Enhancement Grants to support building know-how and specific skills that translate into improved quality of care in the oncology workforce. Since 2017, $250K in Skills Enhancement Grants have been provided. The CQI Education Fund also support graduate training opportunities in research domains related to quality of care through Kuok Fellowships. Since 2014, $390K in Kuok Fellowships have funded the research of 10 graduate students.
As part of the RCN鈥檚 COVID-19 pandemic response, the RCN has been an active participant in the 缅北强奸 Task Force on the Impact of COVID-19 and Cancer Control and Care. The Task Force鈥檚 primary mission is to prepare a contingency plan to mitigate risks for individuals with cancer in the 缅北强奸 Health Network. Importantly, the RCN has supported the procurement of health data through the R茅gie de l鈥檃ssurance maladie du Qu茅bec (RAMQ) so that the Task Force may build robust prediction models for outcomes like cancer mortality related to delays or changes in care caused by the pandemic. These models will not only help better understand the impact of the pandemic but will inform decision-making and policy in years to come.
