Andrew Ng is a career foreign service officer with Global Affairs Canada, currently political counsellor at the Canadian Embassy to Peru and Bolivia. From 2019 to 2021, he was deputy director responsible for Canadian foreign policy with India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. He previously served in various political and public affairs capacities in postings to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, the United States and Mali. From 2017 to 2019, he managed Canada鈥檚 bilateral relationship with Mali and the resident UN stabilization mission as political counselor during Canada鈥檚 peacekeeping mission. Before joining government, he was a junior fellow in the Democracy and Rule of Law Project at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University in Government. He speaks English, French and Spanish fluently.
