Ken Marra

Ken Marra聽has been a Director of Max Bell Foundation since 2000.聽聽

Mr. Marra聽joined the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) in 1997 after spending 15 years in private industry, mostly in northern Canada, Brazil and California as a petroleum reservoir engineer, an environmental consultant, and a construction manager.聽聽 He managed state-funded hazardous waste site cleanups prior to joining MassDEP鈥檚 Program & Policy Development group in Boston, where he formulates environmental regulations and policies and leads MassDEP鈥檚 Light Nonaqueous Phase Liquids (LNAPL) Workgroup.聽 Mr. Marra represents Massachusetts on the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council and has published a number of papers on the subsurface fate and transport of petroleum and other LNAPL constituents.聽 Mr. Marra also sits on the state鈥檚 Administrative Review Board for the $500 million Petroleum Product Cleanup Fund.聽

He received an A.B. in Engineering Science from Dartmouth College, a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and a M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Stanford University.聽 He is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer.
