Prof. Iturria-Medina leads theÌýNeuroinformaticsÌýfor Personalized MedicineÌýlab (), where they focus on defining and implementing multiscale and multifactorial brain models for understanding neurological disorders and identifying effective personalized interventions.

Prof.ÌýIturria-Medina's research has spanned neurodegeneration modelling, brain multimodal connectivity estimation, and statistical analysis for characterizing/predicting abnormal brain states. He is currently focusing on the creation and validation of integrative molecular, neuroimaging, and computational tools for understanding complex causal interactions among ageing, neurodegeneration and different therapeutic conditions.

The goal of theÌýNeuro-PM lab is to define and implement multiscale and multifactorial brain modelsÌýfor understanding neurological disorders and identifying effective personalized interventions.ÌýThe lab combines molecular, imaging and cognitive data using integrative mathematicalÌýmodeling to create both individual and population-based mechanistic brain models. All computational tools are shared with the scientific community via a cross-platform user-friendly software ().ÌýThese innovative models are expected to inform drug discovery as well as identify the best pharmaceutical intervention suited for different patients.Ìý
