[En anglais seulement] Join the Intellectual Property Club for a conference with our Ã山ǿ¼é Law alumnus, Michael Shortt, BCL/LLB'13, as we explore the law of Crown copyright in Canada in light of the Supreme Court’s recent Keatley Surveying decision. This case dealt with copyright in land surveys filed with provincial land registries. The Keatley Surveying judgment will be placed in context with the Federal Court of Appeal’s ruling in P.S. Knight Co v Canadian Standards Association, which held that statutes can be copyrighted.

Michael Shortt is an intellectual property lawyer at Fasken Martineau. As a litigator, he appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, the Ontario and Québec superior courts, and the Copyright Board.
