Canadian PhD Recruitment Visits

The Canadian Doctoral Recruitment Visits project funds top Canadian students living outside the Greater Montreal area to visit the 缅北强奸 campus and meet with students and professors in their potential department. This project aims to increase the enrollment of Canadian students to meet the same success GPS has seen with International recruitment.听

Funding for visits is limited and requests must be approved by GPS. Visits must take place before June 1st.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for recruitment funding, prospective students must have applied and been offered admission at the PhD level to 缅北强奸.听

Funding Available

The following amounts are allotted to top-level Canadian PhD applicants according to their province/territory of provenance:

  • Alberta - $800
  • British Columbia - $1000
  • Manitoba - $600
  • New Brunswick - $500
  • Newfoundland and Labrador - $800
  • Northwest Territories - $1000
  • Nova Scotia - $600
  • Nunavut - $1000
  • Ontario - $400 (except. Ottawa region)
  • Ottawa region - $200
  • Prince Edward Island - $600
  • Quebec - $100-$400 (depending on distance)
  • Saskatchewan - $700
  • Yukon听 - $1000

Process

As part of a new initiative, GPS provides听visiting PhD applicants with pre-paid credit cards upon their arrival at 缅北强奸 to ease the cost of travel to Montreal.

For visiting PhD applicants to receive a virtual pre-paid credit card, the following steps must be taken:

  1. The GPC or GPD must complete the webform听at least 2 weeks prior to the prospective student鈥檚 arrival;
  2. GPS confirms to unit approval of request;
  3. If approved, the GPC or GPD must confirm student's arrival听to graduatefunding.gps [at] mcgill.ca;听
  4. GPS emails the virtual prepaid credit card with听instructions directly to student.
