Global Health Night 2024 FAQ

This FAQ will be updated periodically leading up to Global Health Night on November 21st.

How do I register for Global Health Night 2024?

Register via the form on this page. Registrations to attend Global Health Night in person will close on Wednesday, November 20, at 5 PM. If you want to join us in-person, but didn't get to register, you may join us at the venue. However, if the event is at capacity we reserve the right to turn away anyone who did not register for the event in advance. Registration for the online event will remain open.

I registered for Global Health Night 2024, where do I go?

A few days before the event on November 21st, you will receive an email from 缅北强奸 Global Health Programs with participation details. This will be sent to the email address you used to RSVP. Look for an email from 鈥缅北强奸 Global Health Programs鈥漚nd the sender's email address email will be globalhealthteam.dgph [at] mcgill.ca.

In-person venue: New Residence Hall Ballroom (3625, Avenue du Parc). Please note that if the event reaches capacity, we may need to turn away anyone who did not register in advance.

I鈥檓 unsure which email address I used to register for Global Health Night. What do I do?

  • Try searching for your Global Health Night registration confirmation email in your various email accounts in order to determine which email address you used to register for Global Health Night.
  • The email address you used to RSVP will have received an email from the address ghp.med [at] mcgill.ca with the subject line: 鈥淭hank for your Global Health Night RSVP!鈥.
  • That message may have landed in your spam folder.

I registered but I cannot be there at 4:30 PM EST. Can I still join?

  • Yes! You can browse the Student Poster Fair at anytime between 4:30-6:00 PM.
  • The main program, including keynote speaker, will begin at 6:00 PM.

Will the Student Poster Fair will have an online component?

The Student Poster Fair is only available in person this year.

How do I find a specific poster?

A poster directory will be available near the entrance of the Student Poster Fair.

Can I watch the keynote address online?

Yes, you can watch the keynote address live on YouTube. The link will be sent via email to all registered attendees a few days before the event. Please note, the recording will only be available for 24 hours after the event.

Can I pose questions to the keynote speakers?

We are still finalizing the program and format for the keynote session. Please check back closer to the event for updates, or to our newsletter for the latest information

Is there an online version of Global Health Night 2024?

Those attending Global Health Night 2024 online will be able to ask the keynote speakers questions during the event using an online form (link to be posted beforehand). Those attending Global Health Night 2024 in-person will be invited to pose their questions during the moderated Q&A session following the keynote lectures.

I missed the livestream. Can I watch a recording?

Yes, the main program, including keynote speakers, will be live-streamed on YouTube starting at 6:00 PM. Please register in advance. The Student Poster Fair will be available in-person only. Please note that the recording of the event will be available for only 24 hours after the event.

What COVID-19 precautions will be in place for the in-person event?

  • Masks are encouraged and will be provided to attendees.
  • Physical distancing is recommended to the greatest extent possible.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided to attendees.
  • We expect all attendees to please respect coughing and sneezing etiquette.
  • Also, if you are feeling sick, please stay home and participate online.

缅北强奸 is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. 缅北强奸 honours, recognizes, and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which peoples of the world now gather. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
