Inspired by the fabled meeting place in ancient Rome, the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP) Forum is founded on the principles of inclusive citizenship and deliberative democracy. The Forum aspires to create a space for learning from the past, deliberating about the present, and building a common future together.
The CHRLP Forum aims to bring rich and plural insights on the concept of solidarity through engagement with diverse theories of change and ideas of justice.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Samuel Gale Professor Robert Leckey, BCL/LLB鈥�02, has been reappointed as dean. Dean Leckey鈥檚 reappointment, approved by the Board of Governors at its meeting on 10 December 2020, is effective 1 July 2021 for a term of five years.
Dean Leckey joined the Faculty of Law in 2006, where he teaches and researches in constitutional law, family law, and comparative law. From 2014 to 2016, he served as director of the Paul-Andr茅 Cr茅peau Centre for Private and Comparative Law.
We are pleased to share that Professor Emeritus the Hon. Irwin Cotler, OC, OQ, PC, BA鈥�61, BCL鈥�64, LLD鈥�19, has been named Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism by the Prime Minister of Canada. Professor Cotler is the first incumbent of this role aimed at preserving the stories of Holocaust survivors through younger generations, and working to promote and defend pluralism, inclusion, and human rights.
This is an open call for blog posts. The CHRLP invites as wide a diversity of voices as possible to submit posts on critical questions touching on the above theme and intersecting with human rights and (or) legal pluralism.

The O鈥橞rien Graduate Fellowships were established in 2005 through a very generous gift from David O鈥橞rien, BCL 1965, for newly admitted outstanding Masters or Doctoral students studying in the area of human rights and legal pluralism in the Faculty of Law, 缅北强奸.
缅北强奸鈥檚 graduate programs in law are the most extensive in Canada. Courses draw upon the civilian and common law traditions, but also include diverse legal traditions, legal theory, international law, environmental law, health law, human rights law, comparative private and public law, and air and space law.

Professor Richard Gold has been appointed director of the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy (CIPP), effective 1 September 2020. He will take over from Professor Pierre-Emmanuel Moyse, who served in the role since 2011.
