International Management


Overview

The unique International Management (IM) major integrates business education with global studies, foreign language courses, and international experiences. This interdisciplinary major is highly customizable, allowing you to create a personalized curriculum that combines the areas of study that interest you most.

As an IM student, you’ll develop global awareness and perspectives that are essential for practicing business in today’s global economy. You’ll acquire a proficiency in a foreign language and develop cultural sensitivities to ensure that your business solutions are not only technical, but take into account the effects that they will have on society and people.

You will also develop a broad understanding of international business with internationally focused courses in marketing, strategic management, finance, operations management, and more.

As a graduate of the International Management program, you’ll be equipped with diverse skills which include cultural and professional adaptability, and a comprehensive understanding of international business, global society, public policy, and current issues of global importance.

Student experience

Gain a competitive edge through our BUSA 497 Internship in International Business course where you’ll complete at least 150 hours of valuable work experience. Your chosen institution should either be located overseas or have an international focus.
