Isabelle Daunais (Principal Investigator)

Isabelle Daunais is Professor of French Literature at 缅北强奸 and holds the Canada Research Chair on the Aesthetics and the Art of the Novel. Her research focuses on nineteenth-century French literature and on examining the modern novel both as a form of thought and as an exploration of the world. She is the author of several studies on the realist novel and on the aesthetic of the novelistic character :听听(1993);听听(2002);听(2008).鈥 She has also published a study of听the Qu茅b茅cois novel : (2015).

Michel Biron

Michel Biron is James 缅北强奸 Professor in Qu茅bec Literature and听specialist in the literary history of Qu茅bec,听with a particular interest in modern poetry and the novel. His publications include, amongst others: 听(Bor茅al, coll. 芦 Bor茅al express 禄, 2012), (Bor茅al, coll. 芦 Papiers coll茅s 禄, 2010), 听(Montr茅al, Presses de l'Universit茅 de Montr茅al, coll. 芦 Socius 禄, 2000). He is co-author, with Jacques Dubois, Jean-Pierre Bertrand, and Jeannine Paque, of Le roman c茅libataire. D'脌 rebours(1884) Paludes(1895) (Paris, Jos茅 Corti, 1996). He has also published a major biography of the poet Hector de Saint-Denys Garneau: (2015), as well as the complete edition of his听听(2020).

Katerine Gosselin

Katerine Gosselin is Professor of Literature at the Universit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Rimouski. She is a specialist in the work of Claude Simon. Her research focuses on modes of representing memory, and, more specifically, on the memory of literature in the novels of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Her articles on Claude Simon, on Aragon, on the Nouveau roman, and on the contemporary novel have been published in several journals (@nalyses, 脡tudes litt茅raires, Tangence, Europe) and collected editions (, ENS 脡ditions, 2011;听, PUM, 2013). She has co-edited, with Olivier Parenteau, a 2014 issue of 脡tudes litt茅raires entitled ,听with Martine Cr茅ac'h, a 2015 issue of 尝颈迟迟茅谤补迟耻谤别 entitled , and, with Christophe Pradeau, a 2019 issue of听Tangence听entitled听.

Allan Hepburn

Allan Hepburn is James 缅北强奸 Professor of Twentieth-Century Literature. His publications include the books听听(2005),听听(2010), and A Grain of Faith: Religion in Mid-Century British Literature (2018). He has edited four volumes of material by the Irish novelist Elizabeth Bowen:听(2008),听听(2008),(2010), and听 (2017). He has also edited three听collections of essays:听(2007),听(2016), and听(with听Isabelle Daunais, 2020). He has published articles on James Joyce, Edith Wharton, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Bowen, Joseph Conrad, Louis Begley, Thomas Wharton, and other twentieth-century novelists.

Peter Sabor, FRSC, is Professor of English at 缅北强奸, where he holds the Canada Research Chair in Eighteenth-Century Studies and is Director of the Burney Centre. He is the general editor of听, (6 vol. 2011-2019), and co-general editor of the Cambridge Edition of the 听(12 vol., in progress). Cecilia Benaglia

Cecilia Benaglia is Lecturer in French at the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics, University of Limerick. She obtained her PhD in French and Italian Literature from Johns Hopkins University.听She also holds a BA from Universit脿 Ca鈥 Foscari in Venice and Masters鈥 degrees from Universit茅 Paris III and Universit茅 Paris VIII.听Her research interests include 20th-century French and Italian literature, the relation between politics and literary production during the 1950s and 1960s, sociology of literature, and translation studies. Focusing on the figure of the writer as a 鈥渃ultural mediator,鈥 her research combines the study of the history of publishing and of the emergence of a European literary field with detailed analysis of writers鈥 activities as translators and as publishers. Her first book,听听was published with Classiques Garnier in 2020.
