Storage in Sustainable Electric Energy Systems: Technology Push and Policy Pull

This seminar addressed how policymakers and regulatory agencies should use such a sustainability assessment approach for storage in informing future R&D, renewable energy deployments, grid codes, green incentives, etc.

The event looked at how energy storage technologies embedded within the electricity supply chain may be socially acceptable, economically viable and environmentally sound. Audience members learned about the driving and opposing forces for developing storage as part of future sustainable electric power systems. Energy聽storage technologies, their design and engineering were explored as a new component of聽a wider energy ecosystem聽whose sustainability needs to be secured for future generations.
