Overview
Islamic Studies : The development of philosophical thought among Muslims, its classical background and its role in Islamic culture. Analytical study of major authors, their writings and their central problems. Reading of primary sources in Arabic and/or Persian.
Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2011-2012 academic year.

- Students must register for both ISLA 742D1 and ISLA 742D2
- No credit will be given for this course unless both ISLA 742D1 and ISLA 742D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms
- ISLA 742D1 and ISLA 742D2 together are equivalent to ISLA 742
