Of course, you can bring a sustainability perspective to any course of study. However there are three programs at 缅北强奸 that explicitly relate to sustainability. Two of these are Interfaculty Arts & Sciences programs -听the听Sustainability, Science and Society听叠础厂肠听&补尘辫; Environment听BASc. The third is offered by the Desautel Faculty of Management called听Managing for Sustainability. A comparison of the core features of these programs is below. Please see听the course catalogue听for more detailed information.
Interfactulty Program in Sustinability, Science and Society:听(54 credits)
The SSS program finds its strength听in the way classes are structured around the three thematic pillars:听Science & Technology, Economics & Policy, and Ethics & Equity. Within each of these pillars students take听6 credits.
Interfaculty Program in Environment: (54 credits)
The major difference from SSS is that the Environment program allows for听more flexibility when chosing complementary courses. Students听can choose any course听from 12 areas, and students can听concentrate credits in any particular area or combination of areas. Thus the Envronment program is less structured than SSS.
Managing for Sustainability: (39 credits)
This program focuses on business management, strategy, and organization as it relates to sustainability. As such there is less focus on the biophysical or ecological underpinnings of sustainability issues, but a greater emphasis on sustainablity challenges and the role of sustainability in the private sector.
