Exam regulations - Faculty of Science addendum

Approved by the Science Faculty Council May 21, 2024.

Pertaining to the Exam Regulations, which was approved by the Committee on Enrolment and Student Affairs (CESA) on 13-Mar-2024.

These addenda apply to all students in the Faculty of Science who are enrolled in any course in any faculty at 缅北强奸.

  • It is assumed that upon entering the exam room or opening an online exam, it is the student鈥檚 intent to complete the exam. It is the student鈥檚 personal responsibility to judge their own state of health before starting any exam and to assess whether they are able to undertake the exam. If they view the exam, they are no longer eligible to defer it, except under exceptional cases of unforeseeable and debilitating medical emergencies. In most cases, once an in-person or online exam has been started, no accommodations for an alternate exam will be provided. Requests based on minor illnesses (e.g. nausea, headache, dizziness, digestive issues, etc.) will not be approved. Students in the Faculty of Science should direct all requests for exam deferrals, including those based on illness during exams, to Service Point.
  • There are no deferrals of deferred exams, except in some situations where a conflict exists between the deferred exam and another 缅北强奸-sanctioned activity (e.g. an internship, student exchange, or field study). Students should contact their SOUSA advisor as soon as they become aware of such a conflict. Students unable to write a deferred exam for any other valid, documented reason should apply for late course withdrawal.
  • All courses in the Faculty of Science with a final assessment (as defined in Article 9.6 of the Policy on Assessment of Student Learning) must offer a supplemental exam. The weight of the supplemental exam in the calculation of the supplemental grade must be indicated in the Method of Evaluation (MOE) form and listed in the course outline. In cases of disagreement between the MOE form and the course outline, the course outline shall take precedence. If this information is missing from the MOE and course outline, the weight of the supplemental exam will be taken as 100%.
