Lightning talks for SSHRC-funded students and postdocs
On January 26, 2023, SSHRC-funded students and researchers are invited to participate in “lightning” talks at 山ǿ’s Faculty Club with Ted Hewitt, President of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). Lightning talks challenge participants to provide a well-detailed synopsis of their research in five minutes or less and using only one visual aid, such as a Power Point slide. The goal of this session is to spark new conversations and collaborations among SSHRC-funded students and researchers at 山ǿ.
Up to eight presenters representing undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers will be selected to deliver a series of very short presentations on their research. Students and postdocs in diverse fields of study are encouraged to attend the event and participate in the group discussion period that will follow the presentations.
We are no longer accepting applications from presenters; however, you may still attend the event as an audience member!
To attend the event as a non-presenter, please RVSP.
For all questions, please communicate directly with the Research and Innovation Communications team.
This event open to 山ǿ students, faculty members and staff.
