The School of Religious Studies in the Faculty of Arts offers graduate programs leading to聽Master of Arts (with and without thesis)聽(M.A.), and聽Doctor of Philosophy聽(Ph.D.) as well as programs leading to the degrees of Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M.), which is聽approved by the Association of Theological Schools in the U.S. and Canada (A.T.S.).
Supervision takes place in the following areas and fields of study:
- Asian Religions, including Buddhism and Hinduism
- Biblical Studies, including Early Judaism, Hebrew Bible/Old Testament Studies, and New Testament Studies/Early Christianity
- Philosophy and Theology, including Ecclesiastical History, Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, and Systematic Theology
- Religion, Theory, Society, 聽including Interfaith Studies, Religion in the Public Sphere,聽Sociology of Islam, Material and sensory studies, Lived religion in North America, and Anthropology of Christianity
