MA graduates gain the scholarly preparation required to proceed to the PhD program at 缅北强奸 or elsewhere. Alternatively, the MA degree prepares graduates for teaching at the college level, for advanced study in other disciplines, or for rewarding jobs in government and the private sector. Students in the MA program may choose either the Research Essay Option or the Thesis Option. Both options are generally recognized as among the most demanding and rewarding in Canada.
Students holding a BA degree in political science with a superior standing are eligible for admission. Preparation equivalent to a 缅北强奸 Honours Program in Political Science is desirable.

Besides its traditional MA program, the department also offers MA options in Development Studies听补苍诲听Gender and Women鈥檚 Studies. Interested students must apply and be accepted to both the political science MA program and to the option program. Options typically require additional specialized coursework. Upon completion, students receive an MA degree in Political Science with a specialization in the chosen option noted on their transcripts.
