Readmission to BSc(N) or BN(I)

Former 缅北强奸 students who wish to return to the University after an absence of one term or more may apply for readmission to the BScN program听(provided they have not completed another degree in the interim). Readmission into the BNI program is听辞苍濒测听open to students who were already previously accepted in to the BNI program, all other applicants to the BNI program must apply through the admissions office.

For听Fall readmission, the application period is from听March 1st to July 1st.

For听Winter readmission, the application period is from听October 1st to November 15th.

*All听supporting documentation听(e.g. transcripts) must be received by the Nursing Student Affairs Office no later than the application deadline.

Requirements

Students who apply to be readmitted are subject to the program and degree requirements in effect at the time of readmission, including the regulations on timeline for degree completion.听

All applicants are required to submit a听personal statement听in the 鈥淐omments鈥 section of their Minerva application, summarizing their activities during their absence from 缅北强奸.

Students who studied elsewhere during the interim听must indicate this in their Minerva application and must also arrange for听one copy听of their听official听transcript to be mailed to the Nursing Undergraduate Student Affairs Office at 680 Sherbrooke West, Room 1941, Montreal, QC, H3A 2M7, Attention: Nursing Student Affairs. Official e-transcripts can be sent to undergraduate.nursing [at] mcgill.ca. All transcripts must be received by听July 1st.

If you are returning from an officially approved Leave of Absence听(this is indicated on your transcript in Minerva), you do not need to apply for readmission; for questions about your leave of absence, please e-mail听undergraduate.nursing [at] mcgill.ca.

If you are returning after an absence due to medical reasons, you will have to provide supporting medical documentation stating that you are ready to return to your studies. This must be submitted to听undergraduate.nursing [at] mcgill.ca听or in person to Room 1941.

Readmitted students must meet the requirements set by the SS&PC, including a possible recommencement of nursing studies if the time since leaving the program exceeds 3 years.

Decisions are made by the Student Standings & Promotions Committee听throughout July and August; students will be notified at their 缅北强奸 e-mail address when their application status changes.

For information on general university policies related to readmission, please visit听缅北强奸鈥檚 Readmission page听here.

Readmission Following Unsatisfactory Standing 鈥 Appeal to Continue

Students who fall into听Unsatisfactory Standing听due to听academic performance听may submit a first-level appeal to continue at the end of the term; however, their request will only be considered when proof of extenuating circumstances that affected academic performance can be provided (e.g. medical note, etc.).

If you wish to register an appeal to continue, please write to听undergraduate.nursing [at] mcgill.ca听explaining how the extenuating circumstances would be under control and no longer applicable if readmitted/permitted to continue. In the case of medical problems, students must provide medical documentation confirming that they are able to continue full-time studies.

Readmission Following Unsatisfactory Standing

Students seeking readmission after falling into听Unsatisfactory Standing must wait one year before applying for readmission.

It is generally recommended that the applicant have undertaken university level courses at another institution in previously identified areas of weakness.听Courses taken should demonstrate your ability to be successful in your field, and, therefore, should be applicable to your program of study. For 缅北强奸 courses' equivalencies at other institutions please consult the online Course Equivalency tool.

For the Unsatisfactory Readmission personal statement, special focus should be paid on why you were required to withdrawal, what you did in the interim, what steps you took to address your academic difficulties and why you are ready to now return to your studies. Additional supporting documentation such as official transcripts, letters or reference and medical documentation should be mailed to the Nursing Undergraduate Student Affairs Office at 680 Sherbrooke West, Room 1941, Montreal, QC, H3A 2M7, Attention: Nursing Student Affairs. You can also send these documents, including official e-transcripts听to undergraduate.nursing [at] mcgill.ca. All documents must be received by July 1st.

Readmission is granted only if it is determined that the reasons that gave rise to the original withdrawal and/or unsatisfactory standing decision are resolved and that the student has the capacity to succeed if readmitted. Readmitted students must meet the requirements set by the SS&PC, including a possible recommencement of nursing studies if the time since leaving the program exceeds 3 years.

Readmission is also contingent on the availability of seats in the program to which the student requests readmission. Students can make only one request for Unsatisfactory Readmission.

Simultaneous Readmission and Transfer into Nursing

If you were in Satisfactory Standing when you left the University (from a Faculty other than Nursing) and your CGPA is at least 3.0 or higher, you are eligible for consideration for听simultaneous readmission and inter-Faculty听transfer to Nursing. You must meet the requirements for Inter-Faculty Transfers.听
