Presentation Tutoring (In-Person) November 2024

Are you preparing for a conference presentation? Do you experience occasional jitters or have anxiety about public speaking? Want to benefit from an individualized consult to practice and gain strategies to deliver smooth and effective presentations?

Following a highly successful summer pilot, the Writing Centre鈥檚 Tutorial Service is offering presentation tutoring in November where students can book a 45-minute session with a trained tutor.

Come at any stage of development and get feedback/strategies on presentation topics, e.g., content development, visuals, delivery, or managing public speaking nerves or anxiety.

Schedule

Each week, from November 4 to 29, we will offer three 45-minute sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Sign up now on our bookings page for any available slots on Mondays and Tuesdays. More slots on Wednesdays and Thursdays to be opened November 6!

Accessibility

In order to ensure that all students have reasonable access to the tutorial service, you may book a maximum of 7 hours of appointments per semester. In addition, you are restricted to one hour of tutoring per day.

Location

Redpath Library - Main Floor: Either room 22B or the 缅北强奸 Writing Centre's office听
Enter the McLennan Library Building, turn right and walk through the Redpath Library Building [floor plan]. Room RM-22B is found in the Innovation Commons Room B (where you will also find the entrance to the 缅北强奸 Writing Centre鈥檚 offices).

Our presentation tutors are 缅北强奸 graduate students who have undergone a presentation training program, delivered well-received and engaging research talks, and are now ready to help you with yours!

More about our Presentation Tutoring Coordinator

Dr. Andrew Churchill obtained his doctorate in education from 缅北强奸 in 2011 after receiving his M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in 2002. For the last 10 years he has been working with both academics and business professionals in classes, seminars, professional workshops, and through independent contract work to help them hone their communication skills. His workshops consistently receive excellent reviews from participants, and his excellence in teaching has earned him recognition with a Distinguished Teaching Award from 缅北强奸.
