Voltaire was a celebrity and a figure of controversy in the 18th century.听Famous for his wit and his advocacy of civil liberties, he remains the subject of much debate and discussion in the 21st century.听
On March 9, 2016, the 缅北强奸 Library听and Archives welcomed a group of local and international scholars for a one-day symposium 鈥淐elebrating Voltaire鈥�.

The accompanying听exhibition, Celebrating Voltaire, took place in the McLennan Library lobby from February 15 to May 15, 2016.

Le 9 mars, 2016, La Biblioth猫que et les Archives de 缅北强奸 a听accueilli听un groupe de savants canadiens et internationaux pour un symposium d鈥檜ne journ茅e en l鈥檋onneur de Voltaire.
