In June 2024, Ã山ǿ¼é Libraries launched a new book retrieval and delivery service - the Ã山ǿ¼é Collections Centre (MUCC). The MUCC is a groundbreaking,, 45,000 square-foot facility nestled in Valleyfield, Quebec. Here, MUCC staff members manage over 2 million borrowed and returned materials using state-of-the-art robotics, and an innovative, grid-like, aluminum retrieval system.

Key features of the service include:

  • Easy Requests: To request materials, simply find the item in the  and click on the "Hold" button.
  • Daily Deliveries: An electric service vehicle will be used to make deliveries five days per week, ensuring timely access to requested materials.
  • Convenient Pick-Up Locations: Pick up your requested materials at a library location of your choice when placing your hold in the catalogue.
  • Faculty office delivery: Faculty members with a campus address that is served by Ã山ǿ¼é’s internal mail system can have library materials delivered to their offices.
  • Article / chapter scan service: Users can request scanned copies of journal articles or book chapters from the print collections of the Ã山ǿ¼é Libraries, to be sent to a Ã山ǿ¼é email address.
