Call for Abstracts: Working Papers in Disability Law

Published: 14 November 2022

The Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP) invites Ã山ǿ¼é students, recent Ã山ǿ¼é graduates, and law students from other faculties to submit short abstracts of essays or works in progress for presentation at a student colloquium on March 24, 2023 from 16:30-18:30 ET.

The conference, taking place in Chancellor Day Hall, is inspired by the fifteenth anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and part of the Disability and Law Initiative building on work that started in 2012. This event looks back at the last decade and a half with a critical and analytical lens. We ask: What advances have been made? What are some of the lessons learnt? What we should draw from experiences of disability policy, accessibility implementation, and social advocacy moving forward?
