For its 8th edition, the Colloquium will be undert the theme: Refugees in Canada: The Journey to Home.
The Global Health Colloquium has expanded through eight editions to be recognized as the premier conference on global health for medical students, healthcare professionals, and the general public.
With education and advocacy at its core, the 8th edition of the Colloquium brings together participants and experts from many disciplines to meet and discuss the best practices for the protection of refugee health and to explore concrete ways of strengthening systems of health preservation, both pre and post migration. Topics for discussion include migration and resettlement, refugee screening, mental health, infectious disease, advocacy, women's rights, law and policy, and education. Contributing speakers are distinguished leaders and doctors who work extensively with the migrant and refugee population. The conference provide ample opportunity to evoke discussion of novel ideas, presenting challenges, and opportunities to get involved, during the Community Initiatives Fair, networking lunch, coffee breaks, workshops, and round table discussion.
