Saisha Vasudeva is an Honours Economics student and a 缅北强奸 Global Health Scholar supported by the John Locke Churchill Scholar Award. This past summer, Saisha worked with Prof. Paola Perez-Aleman on Innovation Adoption, Health, and Gender Equity.
"As a Global Health Scholar working under the guidance of Prof. Paola Perez-Aleman, I have been exploring the innovation adoption of health technologies and practices that improve gender equity in low-income contexts. I am currently building a literature database to find explicit attempts at fostering gender inclusion while developing health products, processes, and practices.
As someone deeply interested in the health policy space and its intersection with economics and public finance, delving into this research topic has been an extremely enriching and interesting learning experience. It has been eye-opening to learn about various products that have been introduced with the aim of gender inclusion, but have ended up having no benefit to women whatsoever on the ground."
