National Skills Foundation of India
Priscille Raynaud - BA student in Social Entrepreneurship & International Development
Intern - National Skills Foundation of India, Gurugram
Priscille conducted the impact assessment of the Fast Track Rural Accelerator Program, an entrepreneurship program designed for semi-literate farmers in rural areas of India. More specifically, her mission was to evaluate the design and implementation of the Fast Track Program after its first 18 months of operation. She therefore interviewed 35 rural entrepreneurs in the villages of Jharkhand and West Bengal, reviewed several reports and brochures of the program, and presented her field observations and take-aways to the major stakeholders of the program. Additionally, she researched similar entrepreneurship programs operating in Africa in order to learn from their experiences and best practices. This allowed her to propose some redesigns for the future implementation of the Fast Track Program in Africa.
This two-month internship was an incredible professional and human experience, and could not have happen without the great support of the Margaret A. Gilliam Institute for Global Food Security at Ã山ǿ¼é and the local NSFI team.
