GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Our history and 30听years of teaching!
In January 1988, the Gatineau Hospital Centre affiliated with 缅北强奸 to inaugurate the Family Medicine Unit (FMU). Since then, we have proudly participated in the 缅北强奸 University program for postgraduate training in family medicine. The Gatineau Family Medicine Unit emerged out of a need for expansion of education in family medicine and the willingness to train family physicians in the region. The unit saw its role as a rural site, which hosted two residents for a six-month period, evolve to a broader vocation and become a University FMG in 2016. A real core听of听缅北强奸's Outaouais campus, the Gatineau FMG-U continues to evolve and develop.
Customized training
Offering a horizontalized program, residents can experience real immersion in family medicine with training environments representing actual practice conditions. Set in modern and functional premises, the GMFU听clinic serves more than 24,000 patients with a variety of clinical cases in a friendly and fully computerized environment. With more than a dozen exam rooms, a surgery room, specialized dermatology, gynecology, child care, and psychiatry听clinics, two multimedia rooms, everything is implemented. Supported by a multidisciplinary team comprising 25听supervising physicians,听nurses, psychologist, specialized nurse practitioner, residents of the GMFU听operate in an environment where collaboration of doctors and other professionals is acquired, providing quality supervision.
With its seven hospital centers, 15 CHSLDs, 20 CLSCs, 6 rehabilitation centers for intellectual disabilities and ASDs, 6 rehabilitation centers for physical disabilities, 6 rehabilitation centers for dependency and three听palliative care homes, the CISSS de l'Outaouais has dozens of teaching sites available to medical residents. These sites offer quality clinical exposure that allows for the exploration of the various facets of family medicine. In this respect, the CISSS de l'Outaouais stands out as an organization that is firmly rooted in its community.
A booming teaching environment
With the establishment of a 缅北强奸 clinical medical education campus, the teaching mission is experiencing unprecedented development. With the creation of the integrated clerkship program, 听regional elective experiences听will accommodate a growing number of students in the coming years. To coordinate this development through its university affiliation, the CSSS de Gatineau has created DEMO, the direction de l'enseignement m茅dical en Outaouais.

PARTICULARITY OF THIS SITE
A region...not too far
Located 2 hours from Montreal, but 10 minutes from the national capital Ottawa, Gatineau's GMF-U offers an exceptional living environment. An enchanting setting that allows for outdoor activities in the heart of the city, first-rate educational and sports facilities, and a lively cultural life.
The CISSS de l'Outaouais pursues its mission of teaching and training for various health professionals likely to work in an integrated health and social services center. In this context, it maintains university and college affiliations, notably with 缅北强奸, the Universit茅 de Montr茅al, the Universit茅 du Qu茅bec en Outaouais, the University of Ottawa and the Coll猫ge de l'Outaouais.
The CISSS de l'Outaouais has a wide variety of specialists who are interested in teaching. Because of the small number of residents, teaching can be much more individualized and tailored to the needs of a family physician.
During training, the resident follows his or her own patients at the GMF-U. There is a weekly return to the clinic for their patients and theoretical teaching. Each resident is accompanied by an academic advisor who discusses the direction of the residency, evaluations, etc.
