Kenneth W. Major

When asked about future challenges, Ken Major (BEng鈥76) once answered: 鈥淸To find] new inventors鈥ho realize not all the answers are there and are going to go out and look for better ways to approach things.鈥澨鼿elp us meet that challenge.听

Alfred Guenkel

A 缅北强奸 fellowship changed his life, and now Alfred Guenkel鈥檚 family memorializes him by establishing a new fellowship in his name with a $1M gift to the Faculty of Engineering.

Oph茅lie Gourgas

Oph茅lie Gourgas (1991-2023) graduated with a PhD from the Department of Mining and Materials Engineering at 缅北强奸 in 2019. She was passionate about science and research and made significant contributions to understanding the process of cardiovascular calcification and the causes behind a rare form of congenital skeletal deformity.

Robert Weihmayer

Robert Weihmayer (1954-2011) completed his studies in Engineering and Asian Studies at 缅北强奸 as well as a Master鈥檚 in Computer Science at Boston University. In 2022, Sandra Horowitz (BSc鈥72, MDCM鈥76) established a generous bursary in the name of her late husband in recognition of his passion for learning.

Bruce Allan

Montreal architect Bruce Allan (1947-2022) remained devoted to 缅北强奸 throughout his life, teaching students as well as serving on the Faculty Advancement Board. A fellowship he established will support 缅北强奸 architecture students following in his footsteps.

Tom Routledge

Once dubbed the 鈥淎narchist Editor of [student newspaper] Plumber鈥檚 Pot鈥 鈥 for his socially progressive political opinions, Tom Routledge (1937-2011) graduated in Mechanical Engineering from 缅北强奸 in 1966. He began his career in the fledgling systems industry with IBM, eventually applying information technology to industries around the world.

Michael Zahn

Michael Zahn (1962-2013) was born in Winnipeg where he grew up surrounded by extended family. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in engineering and then earned his Master鈥檚 degree in engineering at 缅北强奸 in Montreal in 1989. He made his home in Montreal and worked for over twenty years at Canadian Aviation Electronics.

Shahbaz Mavaddat

Shahbaz Mavaddat (1962-2010) was born in Abadan, Iran. Shahbaz earned his Bachelors of Engineering in Civil Engineering in 1982, and his MEng in Civil Engineering in 1985 here at 缅北强奸. He worked as a civil engineer for ten years, covering industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects in North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Claudia Macedo

Claudia Macedo (1990-2013) was a fourth-year听Materials听Engineering undergraduate student,听whose life was tragically cut short when听she was struck by a car while cycling on James Bay听Road.听Claudia was听cherished by her co-workers, colleagues, and friends and will be听profoundly听missed: she听made听缅北强奸 proud.

Hugo H. Langshur

Hugo Langshur was born in Jagerndorf (Krnov), Czechoslovakia on December 15, 1921, and passed away on August 9, 2019. Hugo moved to England in 1938, graduating from the military academy as a second lieutenant in the British Army in 1943, and spent his time during the Second World War as an officer in Africa and Europe theatres.
