Compliment your studies by learning the theoretical and applied study of learning, cognition, and instruction in a variety of educational settings, across ages and domains. Topics may include learning sciences, cognitive and social processes in learning,听measurement and evaluation, inclusive education, gender identity development, and societal influences on student growth, among others. It's worth noting that courses taken through the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology are graduate-level courses; taking this undergraduate Minor will result in you being included in classes with graduate students.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Minor Concentration Educational Psychology(18 Credits)

Program Requirement:

Completion of this Minor concentration DOES NOT qualify a student to enter the teaching profession. Respecting Faculty of Arts Multi-track System regulations, students registering for the Major Concentration Psychology and the Minor Concentration Educational Psychology must complete an additional minor concentration in Arts in a unit other than Psychology.

Students should consult the Faculty of Arts sections on "Faculty Degree Requirements," "Program Requirements," and "Departmental Programs" for information on the "Multi-track System" and "Course Requirements" for information on "Courses Outside the Faculties of Arts and of Science" and other topics such as course restrictions, credit counting, etc.

Required Course (3 credits)

This required course has a prerequisite of an introductory course in psychology taken at either CEGEP or university level (e.g., PSYC 100 or EDPE 300). Students who do not have this prerequisite prior to entry into the program may take either PSYC 100 or EDPE 300. EDPE 300 may count as one of the complementary courses for the Minor concentration.

    Eligibility
    • The Minor Concentration in Educational Psychology is available to听students currently enrolled in B.A. programs.
    • Students who are currently registered in a B.A. program at 缅北强奸 and who are interested in registering for this Minor Concentration should make an appointment with their Academic Advisor to discuss this option.

    Process & Reminders
    1. There is no application process to be accepted into this Minor Concentration. Students wanting to pursue this Minor should听make an appointment with their Academic Advisor.
    2. Review the course schedules in the Course Catalogue (above) to ensure you are available to take courses when they are offered as course timing/scheduling remains the same each year.
    3. Students should not expect to complete the 18-credit requirements of the Minor in one or two academic years.
    4. Substitutions to course requirements are not permitted.

    Course Registration
    • Minor students should always register for their Minor courses as soon as registration opens, as course sections may fill up quickly.
    • When registering, students should check the "Notes" section in Minerva to ensure that they are selecting course sections reserved for Minors, where applicable.
