/study/faculties/education/graduate/programs/master-arts-ma-second-language-education-thesis-gender-and-womens-studiesThe Thesis option in the Second Language Education -ÌýGender and Women's StudiesÌýprogram consist of 21 credits of coursework with an additional 24 credits of thesis research and writing.
Thesis "courses" are not actual courses but essentially place holders that add the 24 credits associated with the research and writing of the thesis to a student's record. These courses are opened specifically for individual students and require the student to have a supervisor in place.
The graduate option in Gender and Women’s Studies is an interdisciplinary program for students who meet the degree requirements in a participating unit who wish to earn 6 credits of approved coursework focusing on gender and women’s studies, and issues in feminist research and methods. In the graduate option in Gender and Women’s Studies, the M.A. thesis must be on a topic centrally relating to issues of gender and/or women’s studies.
