The micro-credential in Sustainable Finance and Fintech aims to equip participants with competencies required to operate in the rapidly changing financial services sector. Participants will analyze the issues related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and digital transformation in the evolving industry and adopt appropriate digital technology and ESG-related tools in different organizations and workplaces.
This micro-credential will help you gain hands-on experience and skills to set you apart in the field. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Digital Badge and an Attestation of Completion.

Course 1
YCFA 210 Environmental, Social, and Governance Investing
Examination of the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance factors in investments, both from a portfolio performance and from a sustainability point of view, and the utilization of ESG elements in portfolio construction and portfolio management.
Course 2
YCFA 220 Fintech and the Financial System
Survey of Financial Technology (Fintech) and the effects of digitization of financial products and services on the organization of financial markets and on the function of financial institutions, including an overview of the business models of Fintech disruptors in various industries of the financial sector.
Who Should Attend
This micro-credential is relevant for professionals working in the financial or technology sector or for those interested in fintech and sustainable finance. Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this micro-credential, participants should be able to:
- Understand and explore how environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors affect investing and other aspects of financial decision making
- Identify, explain, and apply the relevant practical aspects of ESG investing, such as analysis, valuation, and integration
- Understand how digital technologies are being implemented in financial services, and its practical application for organizations
- Assess stakeholder needs to adopt appropriate digital financial tools in different organizations and workplaces
- Analyze gaps in financial services that can be closed with new technology and data
Language Requirements
Proof of English proficiency is not required. However, since the language of instruction is English, a good command of English is required in order to perform well in courses and complete the micro-credential.
