The School of Physcial & Occupational Therapy plays a cruicial role in the Joint Curriculum Committee at 缅北强奸. Since the spring of 2013, the听Joint Curriculum Committee for Interprofessional Education has developed three Interprofessional Education courses consisting of 23 IPE learning activities. Dr. Marie-H茅l猫ne Boudrias, Assistant Professor at SPOT, has been awarded funding from the Qu茅bec Bio-imaging Network (QBIN) / FRQS 鈥 Pilot Project for her project, 鈥淚dentification of neural substrates underlying neuroplasticity events induced by acute cardiovascular exercise.鈥 The goal of this project is to explore the role of exercise in motor memory consolidation. Dr. Marc Roig is Co-PI.

Dr. Isabelle Gagnon, Assistant Professor at SPOT, has been awarded a CIHR Team Grant to develop the 鈥淐anadian Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Research Consortium鈥. The goal of this new research group is to improve the delivery of health care to Canadians with TBI from coast to coast, and also in a global context, by and with scientists, patients and public health leaders. Dr. Gagnon has also been named Lead on the Trauma Strategic Group, an integral part of REPAR鈥檚 Scientific Council / Conseil scientifique.

SPOT Faculty Lecturer Claudia Brown was honored with the Prix d鈥檈xcellence physioth茅rapeute 2015 at the annual gathering of the Ordre professionnel de la physioth茅rapie du Qu茅bec. 缅北强奸鈥檚 Dr. Mindy Levin, Professor in the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at the Faculty of Medicine and Member of the Integrated Program of Neuroscience at 缅北强奸 was recently awarded with the 2015 Enid Graham Memorial Lecture Award, the most prestigious award given by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
