With a career that includes numerous appearances on stages in Europe, Asia and North America, Dominique Labelle鈥檚 return to Qu茅bec as voice professor at Schulich is both a joyous homecoming and marks the turn of a page. 聽聽Ms. Labelle has consistently received great acclaim for her performances and has made numerous recordings of opera and concert repertoire. She can be heard on record labels including Virgin Veritas, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Denon, New World, RCA Victor Red Seal and more.
Graduates of the Schulich School of Music聽posted a clean sweep of the jazz category at Saturday鈥檚 Juno Awards in Winnipeg.
Program alumni Christine Jensen, Mike Downes and Mike Rud took home the hardware for Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year,Traditional Jazz Album of the Year and Vocal Jazz Album of the Year respectively.

Following an exciting public recital competition held on Saturday, March 15th in Tanna Schulich Hall, and approximately 15 minutes of deliberation, Jury chair 聽Prof. Douglas McNabney announced Victor Fournelle-Blain 聽as winner of the Golden Violin Competition.
This honour is conferred on past students of the Academy who have distinguished themselves in the music profession and have made a significant contribution to it in their particular field.
