The conference will be held in Montreal, Canada, on May 13 and 14, 2017. We invite graduate students in law and related disciplines to submit papers on the theme of the conference,聽 and particularly on issues of global significance. Today, the Royal Society of Canada released its list of 89 new Fellows, among which is our own Colleen Sheppard, who has joined the Academy of Social Sciences.
We are delighted to welcome new colleagues, visiting professors, and fellows to the Faculty of Law. First, Professors Mark D. Walters and Kun Fan have joined the Faculty, arriving respectively from Queen鈥檚 and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Vrinda Narain has accepted the mandate of Associate Dean (Academic) in the Faculty of Law, for a three year term beginning September 1, 2016.
Professor Narain鈥檚 research and teaching focus on constitutional law, social diversity and聽feminist聽legal theory. She was a Boulton Fellow in 2007, before joining the Faculty of Law as an Assistant Professor in 2008. 聽

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Robert Leckey as Dean of the Faculty of Law at 缅北强奸, starting July 1, 2016. 聽
Professor Leckey joined the Faculty of Law in 2006, and is currently a full professor and a William Dawson Scholar. He does research and teaches in the areas of constitutional law and family law, using a bilingual and transsystemic approach. He has received the 缅北强奸 Law Students鈥� Association鈥檚 John W. Durnford Teaching Excellence Award (2009) and the Principal鈥檚 Prize for Excellence in Teaching (2010).
