Jayne Malenfant听is a doctoral student in the Faculty of Education and she has earned two of Canada鈥檚 most prestigious awards for graduate students 鈥� a Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarship and a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship. That all might come as a surprise to some of the people who knew her in high school 鈥� especially if they remember that Malenfant was expelled from the school.
The Mohawk community of Kahnaw脿:ke and 缅北强奸 launched the first-ever Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.)听First Nations and Inuit Education (FNIE)听听program to be given in the community of Kahnaw脿:ke, on August 20.
It鈥檚 a labour of love between 缅北强奸鈥檚 Office of First Nations and Inuit Education (OFNIE) in the Faculty of Education, and the听Kahnaw脿:ke Education Centre听(KEC). It鈥檚 also in line with 缅北强奸鈥檚听Task Force on Indigenous Studies and Indigenous Education.
