Providing practical health information and explaining the science behind the advice
The Montreal Children's Hospital of the MUHC presents Mini-Med School at the Children's
It's back to school time! And not just for little Johnny and little Suzy. The Montreal Children's Hospital of the MUHC launches Mini-Med School this fall.
Parents, grandparents, young people considering medical careers, budding science journalists, as well as teachers and daycare workers are invited to spend 1.5 hours a week with six leading medical specialists from the Montreal Children's Hospital and the 缅北强奸 Faculty of Medicine.
Designed for everyone who ever dreamed of going to medical school, Mini-Med School provides practical advice on how to care for kids and explains the science behind the care. The Children's has assembled six of its leading pediatric specialists, who will give lectures about growth and development, preventing infant mortality, genetic diseases, advances in trauma treatment and much more.
"Mini-Med schools are offered by many leading medical schools and hospitals in North America; their popularity has been tremendous. We are very excited about this program, it will be the first mini-med school devoted exclusively to pediatrics," says Dr Melvin Schloss, a pediatric otorhinolaryngologist and one of the co-chairs of Mini-Med School at the Children's.
The good news is no medical or science background is required and there is NO homework!!
Registration in Mini-Med School is on now, with classes starting on September 12 in English and on September 14 in French. The cost for all six evening lectures is only $60 for adults and $30 for students and seniors. Seating is limited. For more information check out our or download .
Mini-Med School has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation.
