Launch of the Echenberg Human Rights Fellows blog

Published: 15 April 2010

Three years ago, 35 young people hailing from 22 countries gathered for the International Young Leaders Forum that preceded the first Echenberg Family Human Rights Conference. These young people got to know each other, converse, inspire each other, and learn from each other.

Together, they wrote and presented a declaration on the responsibility to prevent genocide. Since then, this network of lawyers, academics, journalists, researchers, policy-makers and advocates - known collectively as the 缅北强奸 Echenberg Human Rights Fellows - has continued its activities around the world. Representing a diversity of ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds, the Fellows are all working in different aspects of the human rights agenda, towards a common goal.

This month, the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism is pleased to announce the official launch of the 缅北强奸 Echenberg Human Rights Fellows blog. This site is where the network of Fellows will continue to work on human rights questions, keep in touch with each other and report from the field.
