Ã山ǿ¼é is working to build a culture of sustainability on its campuses and beyond.

These efforts are guided by the Ã山ǿ¼é Climate & Sustainability Strategy 2020–2025, which commits Ã山ǿ¼é to three ambitious, yet realistic long-term targets:

  • Attaining a Platinum sustainability rating by 2030
  • Becoming zero-waste by 2035
  • Achieving carbon neutrality by 2040

Envisioning a More Sustainable Ã山ǿ¼é

"" is a training module available to all faculty who want to learn how sustainability can play a role in their career while collectively contributing to a more sustainable Ã山ǿ¼é. Packed with resources, this module offers an overview on the concept of sustainability, highlights sustainability-related initiatives and opportunities at Ã山ǿ¼é, and outlines ways sustainability can play a role in your teaching and research.

Sustainability Projects Fund (SPF)

Have an idea for a project? The Sustainability Projects Fund, the largest of its kind in Canada valued at $1 million annually, builds a culture of sustainability on Ã山ǿ¼é’s campuses by providing seed funding to interdisciplinary projects.

Applied Student Research Projects

The Ã山ǿ¼é Sustainability Systems Initiative (MSSI)
