Overview

Are you interested in understanding how employers and employees interact? Do you want to work with people and help make workplaces efficient and inclusive environments? Industrial and labour relations focus on these and other topics, like the relationships between unions, employers and governments.  

Ã山ǿ¼é’s interdisciplinary Industrial and Labour Relations program enables students in the Faculty of Arts to study Labour-Management Relations. You can take a variety of courses in Economics, Labour-Management Relations, and Sociology and learn all about the economic and social forces that affect employer-employee relations.  


Careers

Graduates in Industrial and Labour Relations may find work in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or Personnel Management. Some go on to pursue graduate studies in Industrial Relations or Labour-Management Relations. Others go to Law school or Business school. You can also find work outside the area of Labour-Management Relations in private industry or government.
