Program Requirements
The 15-credit Graduate Certificate in Business Management introduces the competencies necessary to succeed in a management position. It focusses on communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills, while exploring shifting trends, new technologies, and essential techniques relevant to general and business management field. Complete both the Graduate Certificate in Business Management and the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Business Management fulfils the Canadian Institute of Management's academic requirement for the Chartered Manager designation.

Overview
Economics (CCE) : Overview of microeconomic tools and analytic approaches for business decision-making. Topics include analysis of demand, supply and markets, production, costing and pricing decisions, market structure, competition, and strategy. Macroeconomic indicators, forecasting, and policy and their effect on the business environment overall.

CGM2 620 Agile Project Management: Theory and Practice (3 credits)
Overview
Management : Examination of the principles and techniques of agile project management to improve project delivery, reduce risk, and improve quality when dealing with a project with undefined and continually changing requirements. Applications of a collaborative method for resolving conflicts and interest-based problems. Assessment of change readiness in project teams.

Management : Analysis of the development, scheduling, and planning of projects in both public and private organizations. Focus on theories of project management from initiation of a project to close-out. Exploration of project life cycle, planning, scheduling, implementing, monitoring, controlling, close-out and ethics applicable to projects of various sizes, types and degrees of complexity.
