Overview
History : This course explores the movement of refugees and other forms of forced migration in the context of the wider history of global migration. It examines how ideas about refugees, forced migration, humanitarian assistance, asylum, exile have evolved from ancient times to the present. It covers case studies from Ancient Greece and Rome as well as modern Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and North America.
