脡tude des femmes : This course is a philosophical exploration of the nature of science concerning sex, gender, race and racial stereotypes, and the construction of "womanhood". The social history/biography of women and minorities in science will be studied to develop a critique of biological determinism and explore the meaning and possibility of a "feminist science".
