Overview

Asian Language & Literature : This course addresses: definitions of science fiction and fantasy (SFF); the history of SFF cinema; SFF as global culture; the ascendency of East Asian SFF cinema and media in the global market. It also explores how science fictions poses questions about media and technologies, and how media and technologies affect franchising and transnational consumption of SFF.
