IMED 301 TCP Internal Medicine (7 credits)

Overview

Internal Medicine : In this seven-week course, students build on communication and physical examination skills introduced in previous courses, develop diagnostic reasoning skills (including problem formulation and differential diagnosis) and expand their knowledge of clinical problems common to Internal Medicine. Students participate in bedside and seminar small group sessions with tutors, casebased discussions, and group teaching sessions. Students also perform history and physical examinations on patients, submit case reports with discussions of relevant pathophysiology and present patient cases orally to their tutors. Students use their own patient cases and those of their peers to generate and act on personal learning opportunities.
