Vue d'ensemble
Études religieuses : Provides students with an introduction to the world's major religions and how they have affected all areas of thought and culture, politics and society within ancient and modern societies. Lectures and assignments will explore the role of religion in shaping the social sciences, commerce, fine arts, music and literature, law, and medicine. The course will focus on specific historical and contemporary case studies to enable students to develop skills in analyzing such cultures through the use of historical, anthropological, sociological and archaeological approaches, among others. No prior knowledge of religion is required.
