Program Requirements
The Diploma in Internet Business Technology is designed to provide a base in the fundamentals of computer science and exposure to Internet technology, web-based social media and web analytics. Students completing the diploma will be in an excellent position to understand and manage information technology-related issues in their workplace.

CCS2 505 Applications Programming (3 credits)
Overview
Computer Science (CCE) : Tools and techniques in designing and implementing enterprise software applications by using modern programming languages on an advance software development framework.

CCS2 508 Web Application Development (3 credits)
Overview
Computer Science (CCE) : Use of web application frameworks to improve both productivity and time to market. Primary technology and fundamental architectural elements of programming web sites that produce content dynamically. Client-side and server-side application development, databases within web applications, and open source software stack for web applications.

CGM2 510 Project Management: Tools & Techniques (3 credits)
Overview
Management : Focus on main concepts and theories of project management from initiation to close-out. Topics include: project life cycle, planning, scheduling, implementing, monitoring, controlling, close-out and ethics. The concepts presented apply to projects of various sizes, types and degrees of complexity.

CMIS 530 Web Analytics for Internet Business (3 credits)
Overview
Management Information Systems : Understanding of the web analytics terminology. Fundamental techniques for measuring a website's success and effectiveness. Analyse web visitor traffic and data to meet a website's objectives and to improve online marketing.

Overview
Management Information Systems : Introduction to electronic marketplaces and their evolving role in e-business focusing predominantly on the use of general and vertical marketplaces by businesses. Social media marketing including new channels of marketing, advertising and communication will also be discussed.

Overview
Management Information Systems : Covers the fundamentals of promoting a brand through digital mediums and how to take advantage of earned digital media. Obtain an understanding of how paid search, search engine optimization, various forms of digital media planning and placement, social media promotion work and, how to monitor and optimize performance.
